The Fire Safety Department, Government of Telangana, recently conducted an essential Fire Fighting Training session for students at RIT. The program was designed to equip the student body with life-saving skills and a proactive mindset toward emergency response.
Key Training Highlights Safety Behavioral Protocols:
Students were educated on maintaining calm and executing orderly evacuation procedures. The Training emphasized the importance of situational awareness to prevent panic-driven accidents during emergencies.
Fire Extinguisher Mastery: A hands-on demonstration was provided on the different types of fire extinguishers (CO2, and Dry Powder).
Students learned the P.A.S.S. technique:
Pull the pin.
Aim at the base of the fire.
Squeeze the lever.
Sweep from side to side.
Emergency Response Tactics: The session covered immediate actions to take when a fire is detected, including raising alarms and identifying common fire hazards within a campus environment.
